Who We Are

Andrew Roughley Independent Funeral Directors are the only Independent Funeral Service in Maghull and Aintree. Andrew and the team of caring and experienced staff are focused on supporting families through the loss of their loved ones.

Our aim to provide the highest level of personal service and care to every family, ensuring that the unique needs and wishes of every family are met and provided for.

We are committed to ensuring that the same caring funeral director who arranges the funeral with the family will co-ordinate all aspects of the ceremony and will take care of all of the family’s needs. That person will always look after the family from their first contact with them.

Our funeral services are uniquely personalised to reflect the life of the individual and tailored to meet the families needs, they are not only affordable but are conducted with the highest level of care and compassion.
Your Team

At Andrew Roughley Independent Funerals Directors we have a combined experience of 50 years of helping the families who have lost their loved ones. They understand the importance of being able to listen and provide the help, support and care that is needed at what can be a very difficult and confusing time.


Andrew Roughley is the funeral Director who will help and guide you through the arrangements and provide support and guidance before, during and after the funeral.


Alex is Andrew's wife who, along with Pauline and Karen will also be able to help and support you in every aspect of the funeral arrangements, providing guidance with floral tributes, order of service, music and any other aspect of the funeral service you wish for your loved one.


Steve, Mike, Gary and John are experienced in all aspects of the funeral service and will ensure that your loved one is taken care of from the moment you make contact with us and they are brought into our care.


We do not have a call centre. When you contact us, you can talk with myself or one of my colleagues who are experienced in all aspects of funeral arrangements, have local knowledge and will be available to answer your questions anytime. We care because you care.

I have been a Funeral Director since 2006, a role I truly cherish, offering help and guidance to many through a troubled and traumatic time.

Now, as an Independent in the heart of Maghull and with the expert assistance of four of my former colleagues, we would like to offer a more personal approach with the main focus being on you, the family.

Andrew Roughley Funeral Directors is comprised of a compassionate and experienced team. As a family-run company, owned and operated by Andrew and Alex Roughley, we focus on providing close support to every family who walks through our doors.


We have been serving and caring for the families of Maghull and surrounding areas for many years. We aim to provide every family with a funeral that is dignified, respectful and individually tailored to each family's specific requirements.
