Hi, I'm John. I'm the eldest member of staff at Andrew Roughley Independent funeral directors.

In my working life I have had a succession of careers.  The last thing in my life I ever thought I would be doing was working for a funeral director. I, as many other members of the public had the idea that staff employed in the funeral service are dour, miserable and frankly, odd. (Well, maybe I am a bid odd) However, quite the reverse. The satisfaction I feel for helping and assisting mourners is immense.

The staff I work with are possibly the nicest, helpful, most sincere and friendly people I have had the pleasure of meeting.
